Dr. Era Terry is a dancer, teacher, and physical therapist in West Seattle, WA. With 30 years of dance experience, Era knows what it's like to sustain an injury and work to get back to the stage. Era sees dancers in the clinic, at Kinetic Physical Therapy, while also offering injury prevention outreach lectures and on-site physical therapy to local dance studios. She specializes in investigating faulty movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and postural impairments to get to the root of a dancer’s pain and dysfunction.
Era began her dance career at Chattanooga Ballet in Tennessee while simultaneously pursuing her undergraduate degree. She moved to NYC to attend Columbia University for physical therapy school where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, she moved to Seattle to begin her physical therapy career.
Era’s mission as a physical therapist is to help her clients return to the stage through the use of individualized, comprehensive physical therapy plans that prioritize safe and functional movement patterns while utilizing manual therapy and exercise prescription to achieve goals.
When not treating clients in the clinic, Era spends her time taking dance classes, choreographing, and teaching in the local community.
