Bio:

As a former World champion Irish dancer and lead performer in Riverdance, Dr. Walls has a unique understanding on what is needed to get back on the stage. He has two simple goals for his patients: relieve pain and restore function. Dr. Walls believes the most rewarding aspect of being an orthopedic Foot & Ankle surgeon is seeing a patient put on their shoes and leave the office pain-free.

Dr. Walls has expertise in cartilage and ligament injuries, advanced ankle arthroscopy, and lower extremity deformity correction. When appropriate, he will augment surgery with orthobiologics, such as platelet-rich plasma injections, shockwave therapy and stem cell therapy. These modalities enhance the body’s natural ability to heal and recover more quickly. Many conditions can be successfully managed without surgery and Dr. Walls will explore all options with his patients to help them choose the right treatment for them. As no two patients are the same, Dr. Walls will work to develop an individualized treatment plan to accelerate recovery.

With over 100 publications and presentations both nationally and worldwide, Dr. Walls is at the forefront of clinical research. He serves as an expert reviewer for several leading orthopaedic and sports medicine journals. Among several ongoing studies, Dr. Walls is conducting research to determine if Neuromuscular Electrical muscle stimulation can accelerate patients’ recovery after foot and ankle surgery.
