Melissa Pearson, MS, RDN, LD, RYT
As a dancer, fueling your body properly with nutrition can help improve your dance performance, reduce injury risk, and promote longevity in your dance career.
I’m Melissa - a registered dietitian nutritionist, registered yoga teacher, and former competitive dancer & dance instructor. I'm passionate about teaching dancers how to take care of their bodies from the inside-out. With experience as a competitive dancer and dance coach, I understand the unique nutrition needs and common barriers that dancers face when it comes to fueling for peak performance. I believe that a dancer’s body is their instrument for artistic expression, which needs to be supported and nourished properly. I use an all foods fit approach to help foster a healthy relationship with food, while working on your individual goals.
Areas of focus include: performance nutrition for dancers, disordered eating / eating disorders, nutrition for mental & behavioral health, GI distress, IBS, food allergies & intolerances.
I also offer mind-body services to help with stress management, performance anxiety, reduce GI distress, aid in sleep, and improve relationship with body & food.
Nutrition Services: one-on-one nutrition coaching, group nutrition presentations for dance teams and studios
Mind-Body Services: yoga, breathwork, meditation, mindful eating
