Bio:

Jill is an accomplished and dedicated, Working Massotherapist, living in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally from the CLE, Jill started her dance education immediately upon entering the world as her mom is a well established dancer and performer, President of Orchesis Dance Company NU, Waa-Mu Show NU, having studied under Gus Giardano, Luigi, and Delta Bannister Northwestern University. And on her fathers side, Jill deeply appreciates being of the 6th generation of bodyworkers, a legacy that began in Mariupol, Ukraine in 1870 with her 3x great grandfather who was known as the “bonesetter” in his village. So by way of the blood and flesh, Jill is blessed to be living life as a dancer and bodyworker, honoring her roots. Jill attended Ohio University as a Fine Arts, Dance scholarship (talent and Dean) student from 1991-1993. Transferred to Baldwin Wallace University and graduated, double majoring in Sports Medicine and Dance Education. Jill has enjoyed teaching dance and theater for many local studios: The Fine Arts Association of Willoughby, Morgenstern Dance, Mary Kay Manning, Orange Stagecrafters, Cassidy Theater. She returned to school to gain LMT status, attending the post graduate degree certificate program at Tri C East Campus in 2003, passed her board in December 2004 and began working in the manual therapy / myofascial realm. The past 17 years she is proud to have treated professional athletes primarily NFL AHL NHL. Her specialization is the mover, the athletic body, and the specific needs and goals aligned with that population. Her practice is devoted to encouraging bodies to “right themselves” by way of skilled manual manipulation, strict attention to biomechanic behavior presented (functional and dysfunctional), and guidance from the *mover* client in regards to pain, discomfort, impeded ROM and imbalance concerns. Jill gathers information and makes an assessment based on physical, mental, and emotional disquietude and apprehension allowing her to create a positive change in the *mover’s” environment of self. Her point is always to safely and effectively and judiciously work her techniques of manual therapy towards that desired outcome. Working with professional athletes for 17 years has certainly made a deep and lasting impact on Jill's operating procedures when addressing myofascial/ musculoskeletal issues from minor to major. She has worked on basically every injury you can think of! Pre and post surgery, recovery, rehabilitation is common weekly work.

And lastly, having been a student of dance for 50 years, certainly Jill loves the dancer, the dance athlete, with all her heart and soul. Nothing makes her more pleased than a dancer who has enjoyed a long career with minimal threat of physical injury of any sort.
