JP Chan is a licensed Physical Therapist based in Los Angeles. He graduated from Rutgers University with his B.S. in Exercise Science and Sport Studies in 2015. In 2019, he completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 2019. During his undergraduate years at Rutgers University, he interned at NYU's Harkness Center of Dance Injuries, tracking dance-related injuries as part of the IPAIRS project (International Performing Arts Injury Reporting System). From these findings, he was able to present an abstract at the 2016 PAMA Symposium in NYU and Chapman University. He has volunteered at health screens for dancers in SUNY as well as Chapman University. JP has a strong passion for increasing healthcare access for the performing artist and is a firm believer in patient advocacy.
