Bio:

Hey everyone!  My name is Jordan "JoLee" Haydel, and I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) as well as in school to become a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) specializing in treating artistic athletes.

I danced from the age of 4 until I was 18 training in various styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, pom, and kick.  I took a break from dance when I first entered into college at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2009 and focused mainly on my studies in mechanical engineering.  While attending LSU, I performed in the LSU Tiger Band as a sousaphone player and was on the LSU Powerlifting team when we won the National Title in 2013.  I placed 2nd in the 72 kg weight class for the USAPL Raw Bench National Championship in 2014.  I graduated in 2014 and started working as a Mechanical Engineer for 5 years and quickly realized that I was unhappy in my career path.  I would dread going to work everyday and fell into a depressive state for a few years.

In 2017, I was invited to a beginner adult hip hop class as another way to workout during the week.  I instantly fell back in love with dance and saw the functional benefits this class gave to its clients.  I started taking private lessons and quickly improved my skills and abilities as a working professional hip hop dancer in Louisiana.  Since then I have been dancing in various performances and videos in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

I was laid off by my engineering company in December of 2019 and found myself searching for another engineering position.  Then the COVID pandemic hit, which made the job hunt even harder.  This gave me time to reflect on my career and what would truly make me happy.  I was always happiest either dancing or helping others improve their skillset by focusing on training outside of the studio setting.  I wanted to give back to dance what it gave me, a new meaning to life.

I started by enrolling myself back in college at LSU studying to become an ATC.  I also earned my CPT license through the National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) in 2020 and have trained other artistic athletes as a CPT.  I also work as a hip hop dance instructor at Legacy FX in Zachary, LA and as a CPT and hip hop in heels dance instructor at TWRL Fitness Studio in Baton Rouge, LA.  I am currently located at FITT in Baton Rouge as a CPT where we specialize in one-on-one training for precise solutions that fit each individual's needs.

FITT is a team of specialists in the field of training, therapy and nutrition.  FITT's functional approach empowers and educates artistic athletes to live a more active, balanced, and revitalized lifestyle.  FITT has grown into the premier health experience for artistic athletes as well as people of various professions, ages, and levels of health and fitness.

FITT’s proprietary approach uses a highly refined scientific method that evaluates every imbalance and deviation in your body with a purpose.  As strategists, we are dedicated to understanding your goals as athletes and your vision through this approach, bringing new insight to your unique situation.  Our experts then put it all together into one comprehensive program just for you. We then educate, guide, and give you the knowledge you need to make better, smarter, and healthier choices for you and your dance career.
