Dr. Kristin Goldstein is a licensed physical therapist and founder of Graceful Physical Therapy and Performance serving Indian Land, SC and Charlotte, NC. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware. As a former competitive cheerleader she is passionate about caring for the artistic athlete and understands just how important it is to work with a provider who truly understands the unique demands and skills of the artistic athlete.
She has spent the majority of her physical therapy career specializing in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine when she lived in the Philadelphia area while working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At CHOP, she helped organize and develop the Dance Medicine program while also receiving specialized training in dance rehabilitation by attending the intensive Principles of Dance Medicine course at the NYU Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in New York City. She is also a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.
Since relocating to the south Charlotte area, she has continued her passion rehabilitating youth and adolescent artistic athletes. This led her to start her own practice, Graceful Physical Therapy and Performance, where she is now able to devote her time and energy entirely to this population. She truly loves being able to provide young artistic athletes with the individualized care they deserve while going above and beyond to keep them dancing! She is a strong proponent of injury prevention as well, especially with her experience working with the younger artistic athletes. She understands how invaluable it is to be able to share her knowledge of injury prevention with youth and adolescent artistic athletes, as well as their parents, on how to minimize injuries so that they can pursue their goals of a long and healthy dance career.
