Dr. Taylor Augustine is a physical therapist at Mountrail County Health Center in Stanley, ND. She danced professionally in ballet and modern for 10 years throughout Colorado and Seattle, Washington. She presented research on dancers at the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science conference in Montreal, Canada in 2019. In 2018, she taught a course at Dance USA's national conference on "PT at the Ballet Barre." She is also a committee member reviewing papers for Dance USA's Taskforce on Dancer Health, as well as a member of the Performing Arts Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Taylor is also passionate about teaching. She has over 10 years of teaching experience and holds a certification in Progressing Ballet Techniques. She also has experience as an Assistant Artistic Director and most recently has been teaching as an adjunct member of Cleveland State University's Dance Department, which is also where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Over the last three years, Dr. Taylor has received 5 awards for her demonstration of academic excellence, commitment to the profession, excellence in teaching, and community involvement. Her favorite part of the day is when she can teach a dancer something new about their body that helps them improve performance and keeps them dancing for years to come.
