Bio:

Professionally, Mrs. Mathieu holds a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts and is a movement educator, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
Previously, Kelly was a lead dance/ballet instructor, performer, and choreographer for nearly 20 years, in the Seattle Area. She was also the Artistic Director/Co-Owner of Rainier Ballet
Academy in Renton, WA for six years from 2006-2012.

Kelly has been a USA Gymnastics Member Instructor (since 2012) and coached elite youth gymnasts as a choreographer & coach to enhance their artistic style, performance, and
flexibility. She was also a volunteer coach for the University of Washington (UW Dawgs) Gymnastics Team from 2003-2004; specializing in floor and beam routines.

Also, she is an Off-Ice coach, working with youth figure skaters gaining strength, confidence and grace, since the mid-2000s. Currently, Kelly is a Certified Pointe Safe and Progressing Ballet
Technique (PBT) Instructor, and a member of Doctors for Dancers (DFD) and the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) encouraging all dancers/artistic athletes to
be happy and healthy.

After a successful foot/ankle surgery in the mid-2000s, and a nine month physical therapy rehabilitation process; she decided to join her passion for human anatomy and desire to help
people. Since 2014, Kelly has been working as an allied healthcare technician in the Cardiology& Physical Therapy Industries.

Through Kinetic Chain Movements (KCM), Kelly specializes in personal training, ballet lessons, and artistic athletic coaching focusing on working with dancers, gymnastics and figure skaters.
She is looking forward to working with you to help you achieve your personal fitness goals and share knowledge and passion for movement education with you!

Services Provided: private, semi-private and small groups sessions of classical ballet lessons, Progressing Ballet Technique (BPT), Pointe Safe Assessments, artistic athletic coaching, crosstraining, personal training, strength & conditioning and Kinesio Taping.
