Cynthia is a former Professional Dancer from NYC, an NYU Tisch School of the Arts BFA graduate, and a former Dance Medicine Specialist at St. Francis Memorial Hospital’s Sports Medicine and Dance Medicine Departments in San Francisco.
She is currently the Pilates Trainer working with the Cirque du Soleil cast of AMALUNA in SF.
For twenty years now, Cynthia has maintained a private practice in Presidio Heights, SF and Mill Valley, Marin County, CA and loves working with dancers of all levels and dance styles.
Cynthia has had the pleasure of working with dancers currently and formerly with San Francisco Ballet, Cirque du Soleil, Marin Ballet, Meftas Dance Company, and the students of UC Berkeley, to name a few.
Cynthia is one of the very few CoreAlign Specialists in the Bay Area or otherwise and teaches courses to other teachers in how to use the CoreAlign to maximize gait and the best form for all athletes and dancers.
Cynthia has had the pleasure of being a movement model for the educational app PilatesAnytime.
Additionally, she loves volunteering for community classes held at Athleta stores, as well as at the Stanford Pediatric Weight Control Center for children ages 8-18 and their families, holding movement classes alongside her daughter as co-teacher.
In 2020, Cynthia will be a part of the Integrative Pediatric Summit based in LA to explain her success in using Pilates with a young child diagnosed with scoliosis, having shared that success with another colleague from St. Francis Dance Medicine.
