Parmis Rezvani, PT, DPT
Dr. Parmis Rezvani, PT, DPT has several years of experience both participating in different genres of dance and working with professional and pre-professional dancers. As a dance medicine Physical Therapist, she understands the daily demands of various dance practices and performances. This allows her to develop a program of care using the most appropriate therapeutic techniques and progression of dance-specific exercises for the dancer to return to the studio or stage as quickly as possible.
Her background and experiences as a competitive dancer, serving as a Teaching Assistant for Ballroom at University of Texas, and professional experiences as a Physical Therapist with local dance studios and various other Performing Arts shows and athletes, have contributed to her breadth of experiences and knowledge in sports medicine. As a result, she has learned the immense value of utilizing a collaborative sports medicine and high-performance team to provide a holistic approach to rehabilitation. She is a big advocate for injury prevention and passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and performance.
Parmis enjoys working with all athletes to provide high-level, evidence-based, and individualized care to help athletes quickly recover from injury and enhance performance. She has collaborated with, and worked effectively alongside various multidisciplinary teams including Athletic Trainers, sports coaches, dance instructors, Strength & Conditioning coaches, Physical Therapists, Physicians, and more.
She graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2018 and completed her comprehensive certificate in Pilates rehabilitation through Polestar Pilates in 2018. She uses this unique, and holistic approach to help a wide variety of athletes overcome chronic pain, acute injuries, and kinesiophobia.
