Bio:

Dr. Parmis Rezvani, PT, DPT is a physical therapist specializing in sports medicine, performance and injury prevention. As a Sports Physical Therapist, she has worked with a variety of elite athletes and has developed an individualized comprehensive return to sport criteria to get any athlete safely back to their sport.

She is a lifelong athlete and has several years of experience both participating in different genres of dance and working with professional and pre-professional dancers. She understands the daily demands of various dance practices and performances. This allows her to develop an individualized program of care using the most appropriate therapeutic techniques, and progression of dance-specific exercises for the dancer to return to the studio or stage as quickly as possible.

Her background and experiences treating a variety of amateur and professional athletes, including onsite coverage for Broadway production and dance academies such as Alvin Ailey II, have contributed to her breadth of experiences and knowledge in sports medicine.

As a result, she has learned the immense value of utilizing a collaborative sports medicine and high-performance team to provide a holistic approach to rehabilitation. She is a big advocate for injury prevention and is passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and performance.

Parmis enjoys working with all athletes to provide high-level, evidence-based, and individualized care to help athletes quickly recover from injury and enhance performance. She has collaborated with, and worked effectively alongside various multidisciplinary teams including Athletic Trainers, sports coaches, dance instructors, Strength & Conditioning coaches, Physical Therapists, Physicians, and more.

She graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2018 and completed her comprehensive certificate in Pilates rehabilitation through Polestar Pilates in 2018. Parmis is committed to ongoing training, learning and re-learning to provide the best care possible, helping athletes achieve their rehab and performance goals.
