Kate Fox, CMT, CLMA – Performing Artist’s Injury Treatment Center of NewPath Wellness
Kate Fox is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT, 2001) and Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CLMA, 2008). She is the owner and operator of NewPath Wellness, and has over 20 years of experience working with injured performing artists as a bodyworker, speaker, and educator. As a conservatory-trained dancer (CalArts, BFA 2005) and former professional performer and producer, Kate has first-hand experience with the demands of a career in the arts. Her injury treatment work and educational workshops span all art forms and points in a person's career from student to retired professional. She feels that is it critical that artists work with practitioners that truly understand the unique physical, mental, and emotional demands of their art form.
Kate has created the Performing Artist's Injury Treatment Center (PAITC) as the community service arm of her practice, which offers excellent injury treatment for reduced prices. She has assembled a highly skilled and educated team of advanced neuromuscular therapists (NMT), whom she taught during her tenure as faculty at the National Holistic Institute (2016-2022), who are passionate about serving artists. These NMTs are receiving advanced specialty training in performing arts medicine, a unique program created by Kate, and are in residence and ready to serve you at NewPath Wellness.
You can get started on your NewPath easily. Every new client starts with a welcome call, to introduce the practice and get an understanding of your injury and wellness concerns, and book your first session at our downtown Burbank office. The office visit includes an orthopedic and postural assessment, bodywork and manual therapy modalities, self-care recommendations, a treatment plan and/or referrals for other services as needed.
