Ellen Geminiani has been providing medical care for dancers, skaters and other performing arts athletes for over 30 years. Her background as a dancer and a figure skater informs her evaluation and treatment of the performing arts athlete. She is a graduate of Albany Medical College and completed her family medicine residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship in Pennsylvania. After returning home to the Boston area her practice includes primary care sports medicine with a focus on performing arts athletes at all levels from beginner to elite and professional performers in dance and figure skating.
Ellen is a member of US Figure Skating Sports Medicine Committee and has served as Team USA medical staff since 1995. She has served as Team USA physician as well as providing medical services for numerous local, qualifying, national and world skating events, including as part of the medical team supporting the US Figure skating team at the 2018 Olympic Games. She is a consulting physician for the Skating Club of Boston, where she trained as a young skater and a member of the Boston Ballet medical network, bringing her vocation and profession full circle.
