Dance and Performing Arts Medicine are my passion, and I treat dancers at all levels of training. My unique experience in the worlds of both dance and medicine allow me to understand exactly how an injury is impacting my dancers and work with them to find creative solutions to help them heal and keep them in the studio! I also partner with other medical professionals in my area, such as physical therapists, athletic trainers, strength coaches, pilates instructors, and more who also specialize in working with dancers. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where I spent most of my time training in classical ballet. Like many dancers I had countless frustrating experiences at the doctor's office and grew tired of constantly receiving the advice to "just stop dancing." And so I decided to head to medical school and do better! I completed my residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and my fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. I currently practice in Cincinnati, OH in the departments of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I am a team physician for The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (all departments including Dance, Musical Theater, Vocal Performance, Instrumental Performance) as well as Miami University of Ohio which allows me stay up to date on the most current practices in Sports Medicine.
