Dr. Gianna Morton PT, DPT – Athlete Restoration Company
As both a lifelong dancer and physical therapist, I’m passionate about helping dancers move, train, and recover to reach their highest potential. I graduated from Quinnipiac University with my Bachelor of Health Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2023 before relocating to South Florida. While at Quinnipiac, I founded the Quinnipiac Dance Team and had the opportunity to serve as Captain for two years.
My dance journey began at age five, training at a local studio in New Jersey, where I competed in styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and tap. In high school, I danced on my school’s competitive team, where I expanded my training to include Pom and Kick Line.
My personal experience with injury as a young dancer and witnessing many of my peers face similar setbacks, sparked my dedication to bridging the gap between traditional rehabilitation and the specific demands of dance. I believe dancers are unique athletes who require training and recovery programs tailored to the artistry, endurance, and precision their sport demands.
In my practice, I combine my background in both movement and medicine to offer 1:1 manual-based physical therapy sessions designed specifically for dancers. Each plan is personalized to address your movement patterns, performance goals, injury history and is created by someone who truly understands what it takes to dance at a high level. My goal is to help dancers prevent injury, recover fully, and return to the stage stronger and more confident than before!
