Kaina Louis-Charles, DPM County Wide Foot and Ankle
Dr. Kaina Louis-Charles is a foot and ankle surgeon with extensive training in reconstructive surgery, trauma care, minimally invasive procedures, and sports injury management. She completed her residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle certification at Baptist Health South Florida Bethesda Hospital in 2025, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. She also completed the Baptist Health Academics Leadership Track and holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
Originally from Boynton Beach, Florida, Dr. Louis-Charles earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2022, where she held multiple leadership roles, including President of the American Public Health Association’s TUSPM Chapter. She earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2018, following a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, with minors in Chemistry, Psychology, and Sociology, from the University of Miami in 2017.
A former NCAA Division I athlete and trained dancer, Dr. Louis-Charles blends discipline and precision with a passion for physical wellness. She is fluent in Haitian Creole and committed to outreach work, including volunteering with the Special Olympics, the Boston Marathon medical tent, and homeless outreach programs providing foot screenings and care.
She has presented multiple surgical case studies at national conferences and has published research in sports medicine. Her clinical interests include foot and ankle reconstruction, limb salvage, trauma repair, minimally invasive bunion surgery, and sports injury care.
Dr. Louis-Charles is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. She is dedicated to advancing foot and ankle care while making patients feel informed, supported, and empowered.
