Kristen Robertson, PT, DPT, NCPT
Dr. Kristen Robertson graduated from Wayne State University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and STOTT Pilates Instructor, holding specialist certifications in Rehabilitation and Athletics. A former professional dancer, Dr. Robertson gained her Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine Certificate through the Performing
Arts Medicine Association (PAMA). Dr. Robertson is also a Certified Gyrokinesis® trainer and Certified Gyrotonic® trainer.
Dr. Robertson is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), APTA section member of Sports and Orthopedics, Performing Arts Special Interest Group (PASIG), APTA MI, Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA), and International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS).
Prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Arts Management from Oklahoma City University, she was a member of the Harrisburg Ballet in Pennsylvania and also attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she performed with the Butler Ballet. Dr. Robertson has enjoyed a long professional dance career working for Opryland, Celebrity Cruise Lines,
Stiletto Entertainment, and Holland America Cruise Line. Furthermore, she was also an aerialist in Mystic Rhythms at Tokyo Disney Sea and has performed in Las Vegas at the Rio All Suites Hotel in The Show in the Sky. After retiring from her dance career, Dr. Robertson was an adjunct professor teaching jazz, tap and Pilates at Wayne State University. For over a decade, she
taught, choreographed, and judged for several studios and competitions across the country.
