Kim Pribyl – Youth Advocate & Prevention Educator

Leslie Scott – Founder of Youth Protection Advocate In Dance(YPAD)

Galit Friedlander’s passion for fitness comes from 17+ years of experience in the dance world, where she quickly discovered the need for injury prevention and dance-specific cross training.   Galit believes that personal training/conditioning for dancers can be best used to optimize endurance and movement quality for class, auditions, performances, and improve the overall quality of life.

With an ACE-Certification, specialization in fitness nutrition, qualifications in TRX straps training and functional training, Galit makes sure to consistently update her body of knowledge and education to best serve her clients.   Whether it is a single session to work on a specific focus, or a longer term fitness plan, training sessions are tailored to your needs, and made to be as fun as possible.

The Violence Intervention Project, Inc. believes no one deserves to be beaten and/or emotionally or sexually abused. Therefore, our Mission is to provide confidentiality and safety planning for diverse individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence or sexual abuse. We provide peer supported services in an empowering environment and furnish survivors with advocacy and support so that they may make informed choices. We pledge to educate the community to recognize and change societal attitudes that condone oppression and fail to hold perpetrators accountable.

Youth Protection Advocates In Dance® was originally founded in Los Angeles (2012) and was fueled by the passion and commitment of doctors, therapist, specialists, and educators for youth in athletic and artistic activities. Youth Protection Advocates In Dance® was born as a response and solution to various negative trends that commodify and exploit youth and adults in performing arts. Thank you to Leslie Scott Zanovitch and Joseph Zanovitch who continue to sit on the Advisory Panel to share their knowledge and guidance.
