Dr. Yamila is a Dance Instructor, Dance Medicine Specialist, Chiropractor, AIP Certified Coach, Functional Dry Needling, Cupping Certified, and a 200 Register Yoga Teacher (RYT). One of her goals is to help dancers and instructors reduce their risk of injury and perform at their full potential. Personalized care that can include nutrition and musculoskeletal work. She believes in teamwork (Dr/Patient) and likes to educate her patients and help them with tools for recovery, prevention, and overall healthy lifestyle.
Her Health articles have been published in "Vital Source", "The Gazette", "Buena Vida Magazine", "Yo Quiero". She also has contributed to publications like: " AIP 30 Minutes Meals" & "The Autoimmune Healing Intensive". Speaker at "Talk the Tic" and AIP Summit. She speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese (basic knowledge of French and Italian)
Dr. Yamila loves to dance and has been part of several dance companies were she has performed in places like Mexico, Spain, St Thomas, USA, and of course her native Island of Puerto Rico. She specializes in Folkloric and Ballroom dances like Plena, Bomba, Rumba Flamenca, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Belly Dance, Samba among other genres of dance.
She owns and operates LoCo, where she brings personalized wellness health care to your home/office. Either rehab exercises, chiropractic adjustment, a Yoga Class, nutrition counseling, grocery shopping... she will be there for you in your journey to recovery.
